driveshaft ? (tII trans

So Im nearing the time when I will be dropping the engine into my car. Finished the rebuild, Ill be getting the flywheel resurfaced and fabbing up all the rest in the coming weeks. The one thing I dont have a plan for yet is the driveshaft.
I plan of getting a driveshaft from a 2nd gen and taking it to a shop. However, what length do I have them make it too? I wont be able to take the car to them. So I will need to know long to have them make it from tip of the splines to the end of the flange. Ive been searching and have had no luck. The trans is untouched. I kept the same tailshaft on, I found that my shifter fits fine, just a little further back and nothing is hindered.

The shifter is a bit further back if you kept the TII tailshaft... but when u go to put the boot and plastic surround back it won't fit right... which I HATED later on.

Anyways... I just measured my driveshaft for you that I had made when I was running a TII transmission in my 1st gen/85 and it's 45 and a quarter inch long from the tip of the spline side to the rearend attachment plate.

I'll take a pic of what I'm talking about if it's unclear what I'm trying to say...

no need for the pic. makes perfect sense. Not to worried about the boots. Ill just clear out some of the sheet metal and plastic to make it work. I waas looking into making a custom interior anyway.
Thanks for the info . just what i was looking for.
