Question Brake confusion?! Any help appreciated.

1982 mazda rx-7. --- So i had a caliper that leaked so i replaced the caliper and the brake line because it looked frayed. anyways i bled the front brakes three times and realized i still have no pressure in my brake peddle. could this be a bad master cylinder? i heard you can bleed them but i cannot find the bleeder screw. im thinking i might just put on a master cylinder but idk. any help?! thanks, tim

Did you bleed all four Wheels? If not, that's the first thing I would try, starting with the passenger rear, then the driver side rear, passenger front, and driver front last.

I don't know if it is absolutely necessary, but I would do it to make sure you haven't introduced any air into the lines. I have discs in back on my 82, so I can't give any guidance there, but i would think there is a bleeder screw on those just like the front.

bench bleeding is the name for bleeding the master, but i dont think thats your problem. Start wish the passenger rear wheel and work your way forward

If you replaced the right front caliper, it's tied to the rear brakes via the proportioning valve, bleed all 4.

Rear drum brakes only have a bleeder on the right wheel. That one bleeder works for the entire rear system.

Bleed all four starting with the farthest from the cylinder (rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver) I may just be special, but I had to bleed all four of mine 3 times before they were where they should be...

oops, thought i read "discs" not "drums" my bad!
