Question Which driveshaft fits?

I want to go to the u-pull-it yard to get a drive shaft. They have about 4 first gens there.

I needed to know what models and years I can get one off of for my 5 speed 84 gs 12a, Its got rear drum brakes still and everything.

One is an auto, will that fit? Will any 12a driveshaft fit? What years will fit in mine?

I need answers quick so I can fix my car befor the 29th

Thanks
Ryan

HERE at mazdatrixs down in the driveshaft section. For my 84 5speed, It says all 83(including auto) and 84-85(5speed) drive shafts will fit my car.

Is this what its saying?

I'd like to know why some drum car drivesshafts work with disc rears and some don't.
I've swapped a lot of rears on 84-85's and twice I've not had to change the shaft and once I did have to change it.
