Drifting dad 5 lug conversion

Has anyone used or seen the drifting dad 5 lug conversion is it good, are there better ways to do it that dont involve chopping the stock struts?

This kit?

It looks like the old RE-Speed brake kit, the sleeves go over the stock spindles so that FC hubs and bearings can be used.
You'll need to check if they're for 84-85 or 79-83 spindles.

I got the same impression when I found it, I am still pissed that Re-Speed burned me long ago when I paid for a kit and they closed up shop. I had to file a Credit card charge back to get my money.

I don't think the kit requires any chopping, just installation of the adapters on the spindle. These are based off the RE-SPEED kits that are now discontinued

I have been in contact with Andrew because I would like this for my car. There are other big brake kits on the market such as the one from T3 or KCRACEWARE. However, those are probably 2-3x the price of Andrew's kit.

You can also use the FC 4 lug hubs if you follow Aaron Cake's procedure on swapping 4pot brakes into a 4 lug FC.

These are for 84-85 spindles so you will need to be sure that you have the correct spindles to accept this kit.

84-85 = big spindle
79-83 = small spindle

There are ways to convert small spindles to big spindles, but at that point you'd be better off going the t3 route.
