drifting

What's up , I'm relatively new to the club and I was wondering if they made any of 1st gens with limited slip difs for drifting. Thanks, I just picked up an 85 in kick-*** condition, it only has 77,000 orig, runs awesome, and it's getting bodywork and paint as we speak. I'll try to posts some picks of my new child when I get her back.

does it have rear discs or drums? if it has discs, it has LSD. if it has drums, it doesnt. any 84-85 3rd memeber will interchange. your best bet, get a used 84-85 GSL or GSLSE 3rd member and put it in your car.

with that being said, if it has 77 original miles, dont "drift" it.

Thumbs up Drifting

Thanks for the tip, I have no intentions of beating on my child, I just thought it would be nice know I could if I wanted to, lol. Thanks again for the info, I'm pretty sure mine is the base model but I think the junk yard where I got some previous parts has a 85 gsl le to steal from.

heres a better idea. if the GSLSE has the full suspension, steal it all. rearend and full front. as well as wheels. youll instantly have LSD, bigger wheels, better brakes and a better lug pattern.

Thumbs up

Sweet, I'm such a virgin at all of this but my soon to be brother in law is a beast at working on rx7's, so he's helping me with all of this. if any of you guys are in the pittsburgh pa area, he owns a little garage " visionspeedfactory" and does kick-*** work. I think he has a website visionspeedfactory.com too if anyone wants to check him out. Thanks again !
