at the USdrift couple months back i forgot his name (sry man) he has flat black fb with a V-8 and he was drifting let me look for a pic and try to post it on here

yah man, I drift my FB. I works very well with the wheight transfer drifts. I'll post pics soon. It is like an AE86 with the solid rear axle. Excellent.

I drift mine, once I get my project car together I plan on making some videos of it. FB's respond real well to feint style drifting and intertia drifting, no need for e brake *** dragging here. I agree the FB is a good drift car but it can't touch a hachi roku without some major work, or if the 86 was worn out and stock.....

The problem with an FB in drifting is its 50/50 (or close to) weight balance. A good drift car needs more front bias than that, and is the primary reason the hachi roku can outdrift the fb. They share near identical suspension setups (struts up front, solids in the back), but the 86 is shorter, which is worse for drifting. Drop a 20b tt in an FB, with some t2 or miata IRS, and you got one helluva drift car.
