Wow.....Thats pretty damn cool. Have the rubber gloves on still and beer in hand. Pretty Nice action shot. I like how they noted how I blew my engine a few weeks before. I wasn't even planing to go to the event. I found a T2 week of the event w/ a good engine. Pulled the motor on monday , and was driving it around wednesday nite.

My car isn't anything that the average person couldn't build for 5k.
Engine combo consists of a 91' T2 stock, w/ the stock turbo plummed w/ 3inch intercooler pipes into a npr intercooler. Engine managment is a micro-tech fuel only computer, ign as all done by a 12A-t dist. w/ some magnacore R100 10mm wires. Exhaust system is a 3inch RB down pipe into a xr-1 borla straight through muffler, to my side exit boom tube. I run the car on 10lbs, at 6lbs it made 230whp, so maybe 250whp now. I run the ACT extreme psi plate, and full organic disc, w/ SR motorsports 8lb flywheel. I run any N/A trans that is given to me. I have 3inch aluminum driveshaft w/ 1ton chevy u-joints. I run 4.44 gears and the miata 1.5 KAAZ diff. I have moser axles installed, other wise the hubs will warp after a month of abuse. Thats sums up my drivetrain.

Suspension is ground control coil-overs up front, w/ the dead wound springs in the rear( I think I have 3-4 cut can't remember) I also run the G/C camber plates. I have g-force strut rod bushings installed. I run 16inch wheels Gram lights up front(broke the rears in half) and what ever 16inch rim i can find in the rear. 205/40/16 FALKEN RT-615 in the front and ussually 512's in the rear to keep cost down.
I Have the stock 85'gsl manual steering box, stock steering wheel.I have the ball joint style idler arm, and all new tie rods. I have spent hrs fine tuning my suspension to my style. The car use to look so innocent till had my cage installed.

Thanks Slammed GSL for posting the pics
Thanks to everyone else w/ the postive feedback.
Hope to have some crazy footage up soon of us in the mtns.

Are you running a -SE fuel tank or a custom fuel delivery for the turbo?

^ A well sorted 1st gen, it sounds like.

A few questions though, do you have a GSL with the GSL-SE suspension? And if your using the GSL rear end don't you have the option of using the KAZZ N/A FC 2 way rear diff also?

I have searched all the bone yards in the area, called out state, I havent been able to find a se tank yet. If it stays above a half tank i wont go lean.

The latex gloves are for keeping my hands clean while changing tires, I was actually loading the car on trailer when I heard my name.

I won a XM radio, plus i was supposed to get a check for $$350.00, but DG trials screwed me out of 200.
I burned through 3 sets of rear tires that day, at 60each.
It was never about the money, or winning, or being in the mag, i do it for the love of driving. All the other stuff is a bonus, I swear its like being a drug addict. Spending any and all money on the sport, digging through used tires piles. Searching every where to find spots to slide. Everything else in my life has taken a back seat to driving.
Thanks again guys!!!

I do have a gsl. I converted it to SE suspension, but it is the orignal gsl axle housing with the brakes from the SE installed. The gsl and se housings are the same part number 84-85. I have no clue about a fc diff, i do know the miata diff takes an *** load of abuse.

So what pump are you using???? A stock 85' GSL?? EFI is way different then carb, you gotta have issues if you are using the stock fuel lines and pump....right?
Just wondering.

Thanks for the extra pics, nice smoke!

sorry to dig up an old thread, but what cooling setup are you running on your car.

I've just got a 12a extend port and I was running 2 10" thermo fans and the car was constantly reaching 100 deg centigrade (boiling point of water). This is on a 30 degree day, on cooler nights its not so bad.

Heres my efforts http://members.iinet.net.au/~awcabre...%20Drift2.divx still have a long way to go, 2nd gear is nice and easy but with third I've gota up the speed so the car can keep those wheels spinning
