Brake Bracket Thingy...

Hey guys... I am looking for the bracket...actually the offical name for the part that holds the rear brake caliper on our cars... I have been to mazda and they cant find it because I cannot give them the correct name.. I am just sayting...the thingy! lol...

Anyway- it bolts to the axel housing with two bolts and then the caliper swings on at the top and bolts at the bottom.

Anyone have one with bolts?

Thanks- Edward! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

if your going to checkers or napa autozone anywhere, your going to have to buy a LOADED caliper to get that ****** mounting bracket which cost a bit more. Even then make sure your getting the bracket with it. i went through this whole ordeal before, and if i remember right i wasn't able to buy just the mounting bracket through my mazda dealer or any other parts house.

Yeah, I had to search for a bracket for my Audi. Dealership wanted to rape me (of course), so I ended up buying a loaded caliper from www.rockauto.com for a lot less than they wanted for the bracket alone. Good guys to deal with...

I thought I needed one also but after getting it and putting it on. It's the flange on the axle that was bent just enough to make it rub the rotor.

Anyone ever have this problem if so how did you straighten it?
