drag strip tire pressure.

im just wondering what psi yall run at the strip? im going tomorrow night and im running my 205/60/13 sumitomo htr200's. im thinking ~35 up front, ~25 rears.. sound good, or way off? can someone help me? im looking for a pretty decent lanch, without much spinning through second gear. any input would be appreciated.

im hopping (praying) for 15's, even if its a 15.98 i will be SOO happy. my friend tony drove it, and got on it and said it felt like it would be 15's. and he has a WHOLE lot of track experience. who knose though, maybe he can do 15's, but im definately going to try. ill still be content with 16's though. who knows. ill post results tomorrow.

I dropped my tire pressure on my yokos to 20 and a good burnout after the water box but still cant get any traction. Now I use drag slicks at 12psi.

You DONT drive street tires in waterboxes,I bet there was alot of guys there calling you a Ricer,

Are you running 205/60/13 all the way around?

I run 185/60/13 in the front at 35,

205/60/13 in the rear at about 25,

I still got my GSLSE front suspension and it willbe thrown on my car soon,I just finally got both of the FC spare Enkie wheels and all I have to do is buy the 165r/15 tires..muwhahah

Expect to run 16 sec passes, cause I have seen alot of dissipointed guys think they have a fast car and then they run 17s,Think you run 16s if you get into 15s then you achived something, then nexttime you shoot for 14s The weather is cooler so It should help you out,

Get some movie clips if you can

why would they call me a ricer? last time i ran, i just completely skipped the water box, didnt burn out, and went straight to the start line. i was planning to heat up the tires a little. ive been practicing on this one back road, and i get alot of tire spin in second when i shift hard. so the waterbox is only for drag tires? i mean, i didnt plan to go in it anyways because i hear it drags water all over the line, which it does.

but yea, 205/60/13's all around. so i should run 25 in the rear? or is it not really going to matter with such a high 1/4 time?

Yeah skip the water box,I go to the burn out box and power brake my **** to warm the tires and do a nice smoke show.
