Drag racers? Directfreak?

Anybody running quicker than 12's in the 1/4 having any problems with the stock suspension arms? I was out under my car last night and noticed that both my lower arms are bent. I had them off the car less than 50 miles ago and they where fine. And since then I have only made a few passes at the track.
Just wondering if it is necessary to replace them with something heavier? Or if I should just find some good/better ones in a junkyard.

Either way keep an eye on yours if you launch hard, which I have not even done that yet. Best 60' has been a 1.71

the front control arms?

Could it be the torsion bars were set wrong(maybe in the air no wieght) and up and down travel bent them?

I dunno if it could, but thats what I would guess....

I slid into a curb going less than 20mph and it demolished my control arm on the left side.....

So maybe that was it... line lock with sticky tires on the front and the back pushing hard? I dunno...

Are they bent forward or backwards or like V in the middle or what?

The ones that are bent are the rear lowers.

Torsion bars? Step away from the crackpipe please..

The rear links seem to get bent with some regularity on the street. I've never heard of them failing in drag use, but it shouldn't be too difficult to fabricate new ones using larger diameter tubing. After all it's just two short lengths of tube for the bushings joined by a long tube.
