Angry Door won't open

Took the door panel off to see why I couldn't open the door from the outside, it's missing the little plastic piece that attaches the rod to the handle.

How do I get that little piece off of another car?? I'm afraid of breaking it.

Thanks
Eric

Mine broke about 3 months ago. It isn't that hard to get off. IIRC reach in and loosen one nut and wham it is out.

If the metal is actually broken, which connects to the rod-linkage, try swapping the left handle with the right handle. The rod connector will then align and connect to the "spare" hole.

Thats the little white one, right? Just WD40 it so it will slip off easy. Use a small screw drive if you need leverage.

*chuckle*
Well, you'd need to swap the left side door handle with the rightside, and vice-versa. The handles are interchangeable; however, if you happen to break the small "pot" metal hole-tab where the rod-linkage hooks into, by doing a swap, the rod linkage will be aligned with the "spare-hole". This may not make sense with my feeble explanation, but it works and is cheaper than buying a new handle.
