Door Locks

Well, i really went and did it this time. Somehow in the last few weeks i got that damn little door in the door lock to fall off. THe little door that goes in when you push in your key..it fell off INSIDE the d&^$% lock. Im at a total loss. I tried a magnet but it didnt work. Is there any way to get this damn thing out?

You're gonna need a locksmith. You'll find they are very reasonable if you take them just the lock cylinder. It's held in by a little horseshoe clip inside the door. If you pull the lock out, it probably will cost much less than $20.

Hey,
Just pull the door panel off and grab it. Removing the panel is very easy. My drivers side window used to come off the track everytime I shut the door, so now I can remove and replace a door panel in "Indy pit crew" record time!

Yes, once you have the door panel off, just put your hand in there, feel for the cylinder. You should be able to feel the clip up against the door skin. The clip slides off, push the lock out the hole, then remove the pushrod from outside the car.
