The other night, I went to unlock my door, and the locking mechinism came out with the key when I removed the key.....Now I guess I would need to get a lock from the wrecker, and I have to get a key cut, and have 2 keys? Any other options?

To answer your question on this particular thread, yes that will work. It has worked for others. Or I guess you could get as many locks from a doner car as possible so you'll need only one key?

try getting ALL the locks from a wrecker...and just switch out everything...mazdatrix i think sells a full set but its really expensive...maybe mazda recyclers or rx7 world has a used set...will never be a cheap as a junk yard but unlikely you'll find a complete set...

Don't switch out everything. Keep the keys to your storage and glove boxes original. It'd be like having a valet key!

Take the lock from the wrecker to a locksmith and have him match it to your old key. Should only cost $5-$10.
