door ajar?

door ajar?

i just got done painting the interior and when i put it all back in, the light stays on even though all the doors and hatch are closed. i'm relly not sure as to what the problem is. do u guys think it could be a fuse? any help would be great--thanx

Check the door switches on the body.

no, i didn't have it on. i also closed the doors, and opened one and pressed the sensor, but the light didn't go off. i really don't know what it could be right now.

Pull the door switches out and check them. They tend to rust due to thier location.

The switches only give power when contact/ground is supplied. Check the wiring. You might be picking up a ground from one of the wires.

take the screws out and unplug them. i did this when i got my shaved door handle kit. just see if it goes off when they are unplugged if not start tracing wiring.
