Angry Dont you hate it when this happens

hey guys dont you hate it when you modify your rx to a point where all you do is stare at it and dont know if you should take pics or drive it sike well this is what killed my day dream after 1 whole week of customizing a ford 9 in rear end we drop it in take it out to the street and rev it to 4500 and pop the clutch to see if we can get the left front wheel to come up and pow pow the diff blows out on well back to the old one again

I was running a ford 9" in my triumph TR7 with about 600hp with a chassis engineering 4 link and never popped the rear.....something must not have been done right. and the 9" is way stronger than a 8.8 about the only thing stronger than a 9" is a Dana 60 but they weigh a ton.

Yea,Jeez...thats what I was thinking. You must be putting out some big twist or the rearend wasnt setup right.
Ford 9's have been used forever, even by Chevy guys because of their strength. There are stonger and weaker versions, mainly dependant on the composition of the nodular iron 3rd member, but they are all strong, especially behind a torque defecient rotary.

Ive yet to break my SE rearend in 4 years with a 300hp TII engine.

sorry I had no choice but to take this up...although you may think ford sucks you might want to think twice especially since ford owns mazda...sad just sad, maybe you should know your car companies and the ones they own before you say anything...lol

If you own a first gen then you really don't own a ford. They did not take over till early 90's.
