Doing research for interchange information. Input from 84-85 Non-Se owners needed.

In my ongoing quest to compile interchange information I need information from 84-85 Non-Se owners.

Since for the most part Mazda wired their FB's so that you could install things such as power mirrors, power windows, etc on cars that did not come with them. I figured maybe on their chassis's on the 84-85 models they may of had the same bodies.

What I need verified is at the right side firewall behind the windshield washer bottle if their is what looks like a knock out plug. There would be an opening for the injection harness if you had a SE model. Picture attached.

Also behind the tube in the front of the car and before the A/C condenser (if equipped with A/C) on the portion of what could be called the frame rail would be the mounting boss and drilled holes for the SE front mount oil cooler. Picture attached.

If someone could please look at their non SE 84-85 model when they have a chance and see if these things are there it would be appreciated.

the 84+ 12a engine harness goes thru that same plug, the 83 and earlier cars are on the other side, but it doesnt play nice with the beehive, so they moved it.

i think all the 84-85's have the oil cooler brackets, maybe even the 83's, the 12a turbo used the gsl-se oil cooler, and those were out in 83.

Thanks Justin. You verified that the holes are drilled and tapped to accept bolts for the mounting of the SE oil cooler also?

The holes are tapped too. I remember all these because I swapped a lot of SE parts to my 84 12A this past week.
