does the timing change if you add msd 6al

hi
i bought a msd 6al
do i need to reset the timing when i install it.
if so what do i set it too ...85 gs 12a

no, the timing doesn't change. i think all you're doing is changing the way the coil fires when you add the 6AL.

Blitz,

I used Mazspeed's write up to set mine up. Cranked right up, no problems.

However.... I have had about ~1-2mpg DROP in my mileage. I'm not rompin' either.

Any thoughts?

i hope i'm not insulting you, but if i am then you have my deepest apologies ...

did you take out the "test" plug out of the rev limiter and put in one of the high RPM ones?
