Does the differential need a gasket?

This is really simple guys, but haven't been able to really draw a conclusion. I'm going to be swapping an LSD pumpkin into my rear end, and need to know if there is a gasket that goes between the rear end and the diff? What do you guys use to seal it up? A gasket? Some good high temp silicone? I looked on the Mazdatrix site, and I can't find where they list a gasket for the rear diff.

For future reference. There is and was never a gasket for the diff. It came from the factory with sealant.

go over the flanges with a wire wheel on drill set to low speed. cleans up nice and won't chew up the metal.

i use the oil resistant RTV but copper will do the trick too.
