Does anybody have a pic

or pics that clearly shows where the different vacuum lines go in the different fittings of the Nikki carb, driver's side?

Hmm, I have a vacuum routing chart sticker on the inside of my hood, you want a picture of that?

Bizarro, thanks. That's what I needed.

Now, here's my question. If the lines at the base of the carb are switched, does that matter, or as long as they go to the right lines in the rats nest, it doesn't matter?

it DOES matter. some ports have more suction than others.

Hmm OK. I think I'll have to get some things out of the way to reach down there and rearrange, and see if that makes a difference.

help 83 nikki

ok I see all thes vacuum diagrams floating around for 80 or 85 but I need one for an 83 12a, i notice small diferances between them, and my car won't idle without the choke, so I need help

Pick up a Haynes manual. There's a diagram in there. AFAIK, the diagram for the 85 should be fine for the 83. What differences are you talking about?

thanks for replying, upon further looking I found that the 85 one will look turns out I thought they were different cause on my car only like 3 vac lines were in the right place

you can use a pair of long needle nose pliers to get to the lines after you remove the air cleaner assembly. should be no problem. and as a second opinion, the arragement of the lines does matter.
