Mount it on the firewall.

I was gonna mount the gauge on the "cowl" its a 2 5/8 (I think ) Guage Im tired of braking the 1in ones,do you think liguid fill is worth it over the standard mechanical guage?

Constant vibration/heat etc. will ruin the calibration of the gauge. Why not just have a quick disconnect so you can check it when needed? You dont need it unless your tuning. Only ricers have permanent gauges on their cars.

My friend with the Peripheral Port RX-3 has a regular phantom gauge on his cowl.

If you are breaking the gauges, it's because you have it on the engine or carb somewhere.

If it's a street car, I would spring for the electrical gauge and mount it inside the car. Less chance of some @$$hole messing with it out of jealousy for your pimp ride.

This will not be a daily drivin car,so no time to disconnect/connect guages for a ride,

I dont want to have to carry a suit case out with me with gauges in them

This is for my FB (12a ) ,I thougth it would be more accurate to get an mechanical one (I dont think I can even get an electrical one) I didnt want to run fuel lines in the car,I was gonna mount the FPR on the firewall this time,I had it on my passenger struts tower with the gauge on it.

Whos your friend with the RX3?

Is it Traverso Racing?

I love that car and im pretty sure you have seen it down there in Miami..

Him and his family are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Very down to earth, and Zero attitude.

I have the Autometer FPG which is electronic. It comes with a black box that recalls high and low psi per run. Very nice part and it was not that much money.

0-15 psi holley unit with electric sender and gauge - 74.99
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...88&prmenbr=361

or go with 0-15 psi autometer with electric sender for $185
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...art=ATM%2D3363 (dont have link to 0-15 psi unit, but they do have it if you do a search for fuel pressure gauge)

or go with one with an isolator and get 0-15 psi autometer 2 1/16 for $99
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...art=ATM%2D2413
