What parts do you want? To get a project going I need 5 people (serious...very very very serious people) to purchase what ever. The more people involved the lower the price.

Name the item that is in most demand and I'll find pics and get a quote for an example.

I am very serious, if there's at least 5 person's worth of interest then my bud can make a mold and get into production pretty quick. He makes lots of parts, CF hoods for example, for MKIII supras.

I can get you a CF hood for $500 (estimated, expect more) if you can get 5 people involved. The more people involved the better the price will be.

I know this sounds really, really stupid but what is carbon fiber and how is it better than say, fiberglass or even sheetmetal? How is it manufactured? Is it a pourable mix that hardens or is it injection molded or something? Honestly- I don't a friggin thing about it..

Carbon fiber is just like fiber glass. Only carbon fiber is immensly stronger, more durable, tollerable to heat/weather, and (best feature) lighter. An amazing substance. Google it, you'll come up with some great hits.

Just to point out, he's not made ANY RX7 pieces before so everything requested will need at least 5 people to start the project. He does excellent work so if you can get 5 people involved with cash in hand then he'll make whatever it is.

No prob...I think we're all getting the errors. Yeah, CF is a bit more expensive than other materials but the weight advantage is enormous. Larger parts like the hood, fenders, motor mounts, etc add up in weight VERY quickly...it's amazing how many pounds CF could shed from your car.
