Python body kit
I dont mean to do the swap, just like the body kit.
Max has convinced me to go S5 turbo good for 350rwhp
I love it, except for the fact that the miata headlights and their position on the car makes it look like it has down syndrome. Other than that.. the nice lines of the widebody and the sidepipes makes it my favourite body kit by far vs the mariah...etc..etc

i would rather keep the stock look than an imsa dam.. IMO they look like ***. besides, this IS a wide body kit, and besides the lights, nothing beats it.. of course.. in my opinion. I'm not here to get into flaming, i wanted simple "yes i like/love it" or a "no its gross" and if its been posted 100 times gregs, then why reply?
stepdaddy, thx for the response, im not sure it would cost any more/less than the other widebody kits, and it doesnt make it so " square" in the fenders like other kits do.
on a side note, today in calgary, i saw a white ford topaz/tempo? with LOL... house siding wrapped around to make an air damn, and rear bumper skirt. looked like wannabe rice.

...94% correct.
makes it look confused...like a cross between a viper, a 72 Z, and a blunted pine tree...
I "love" this kit, though...

Just a Viper knock-off with a C3 vette rear
1) all they did was steal the Viper front-end (thus the name 'python' and all the comparisons to the Viper) and match it with the C3 (stingray?) corvetter rear-end. This is not original in any way.
2) they provide a lot of info on the V8 conversion, but I didn't see anything about offering the body kit separate from the conversion. In fact, it sounds like it is basically a custom job, with lots of welding, etc.
I confess, I think the front-end looks awesome (I love Vipers), but probably not on an RX-7. I've never liked the wide body kits on the front (rear is just 'ok') - it just makes it look like hack job (sorry, just my opinion).
If you want to be unique, go through the hassle of one of the Selectmaz kits, or fab your own from a Mitsubishi 3000GT front end. Both would be less expensive than this and you would still have a rotary.

I have to say - that the website makes me question my belief in a benevolent God, in addition to making me wonder what the **** the web "designer" was smoking.
Sweet Jesus, kill me now!
and yes, that goes for the v8rx7 one in addition to the Python site proper.
*shudder*

The design looks too muddled to me. Like others have posted, it's a mish-mash of different styles and doesn't quite work. I think that a different light design on the front and back would make it worlds better. The basic shape of the front nose isn't bad, but the lights don't fit at all. Same goes for the back.

cool.. i think the rear is amazing, and the actual wideness isnt ignorant like some kits. (i hate the boxy square look) however i agree.. the front needs work.
I'm sure some nicely placed lights would do wonders. I wish i could photoshop.

Though if it's miata headlights, you could score a set of jackson racing's low profile headlights and it'd be a 200% improvement. or even a custom popup eliminator.

You guys are just suffering from Viper envy...
When I first saw the headliner pics (small size), I thought they were Hennessey or other moded Vipers with side pipes.
Then I saw the Pontiac snout (hood scoop) and the C3 Vette rear tail section.
Each of those looks awesome...on the Viper, Pontiac, Vette respectively, not on the RX-7.
The nose is cool, although the lights could be reworked a little better; but that is only because I like Vipers so much
I would agree with DriveFast7...if this is what you want, go buy a Viper that was rear-ended by a Corvette.
Serioiusly though, I don't understand the desire of people to make something look like something else. I really like Vipers (a lot!!). My pipe dream is to drop a four-rotor rotary in one (I have a personal hatred for valves). I also like Gen I and Gen III RX-7s...and I don't want them to look anything like my Viper, or vice versa.

Yuck. If your going to bastardize a car that bad, why start with something so different from the final product I mean you start with a light weight sports car with a rotary engine. Throw in a v8 (which I truly have no problem with v8 conversions) then glue, bolt and mold a bunch of garbage to the outside of it just to make it look like something else that you can't afford. Yuck! I hate it, yuck yuck yuck. What is really the purpose of doing this. It doesn't look better then it did before, it doesn't look like a Viper, and no one is going to mistake it for a Vette for the back. I would rather have the purple car. Which I truly wouldn't want either.

Man I am just glad its not that Damn Purple Porche!!!!
Why do people feel the need to alter the look of the RX7, or any car for that matter?
Cars are designed with a look, some are appealing, some are appalling, but that is the way the car is intended to look. Why not just keep it that way and dump the money that you would use on makeing it look like somthing it is not, into making it go fast.
Go fast befor look fast
and the V8 swap sucks!!

I've got an F-body, and I have it to drive it like an overpowered overweight muscle car. That's it's purpose. My FB will see no cosmetic changes. I simply don't see the point to change the way one of my vehicles looks, I'm about function over form. But some people like to change the look of their cars simply so that they have something that no one has. I can understand and sympathize with that. But each of my cars has a specific purpose. Hottie, ask yourself if you like that kit, and if you do who cares what anyone else has to say. It's your car not their's, so you need to be happy with it.
