Well they are not the PPG glass roofs with the twist crank, i believe any 79 with a glass moonroof came from an after market company. i think they did that because they weren't sure if the car was going to take off and when it did they started to produce the roofs we know of.

Yes, a 79 glass roof was available, and factory.
I sold one about a month or 2 ago off of my red 79.
The front mounting sections are different, and of course it is a pop up and down clip in the rear, instead of the twist up style on the later models.

E-bay would be a good place to start I saw one on there a year ago that went realy realy cheep also keep your eye on the salvage yards some times thay don't know what that have.
