Which do i block? (Emissions removal question)

Want to know which outlets need to be blocked.

I do not have ac. Also which one is the center housing nipple? Which is the clean side of the air filter?

That big circle is the shutter valve, does it also need to be capped?

I want to get my car running right, since tomorrow seems like a good day for carbon cleaning..

Thanks!

you can remove that "t" on the pic you labled pic 2 (actually pic 3) and run it straight to its connector, as show in this pic

I noticed there's fuel leaking under my carb..

It's right under where all the nipples were capped.

pre-heater? mine's disconnected too. Wasn't sure what it was, was like that when I got it. Maybe I'll find a replacement hose.

Not really a good thing, just a hose to supposedly help start the engine in cold climates. I've had mine off since I bought the car. It's survived two very cold North. IL winters. We're talking at least -40 temps. (Wind chill of course)

have someone watch the accellerator pump while you have the key in the on position and you pump the gas once or twice....it may have a torn diaphram

#1 the darker blue hose is just a cruise control replacement hose..as i had extra hose left over.

#2 the other hose you are pointing to twice goes to the nipple down there, yes

I broke my pcv valve by mistake so I am just putting a small k & n on my oil filler hose. What happens to the nipple in this pic? Do i block it off?

I'm not the technical man behind the tutorials, so although I've read this, I can't offer anything beyond having you re-read the tutorials. We do cover each and every hose, nipple, etc. Looking at the final pictures will give you a clearer indication of what gets blocked and what doesn't.

You could pm carl the URL of this thread - he could probably tell you without even thinking about it

Isint all this covered step by step in the tutorial? As far as what needs capping and what doesnt?

Wheres the fuel leaking? Around where. A location would help diagnose your problem.

Well since your valve is broke, you can do the peejay PCV setup. And yes you can then cap the nipple in that last pic ( I love that word). Search peejay and PCV for details on his way of doing it.

the car keeps wanting to die unless i hold it at 2000 or so RPM's. After running it for 30 seconds, i noticed that there was some smoke coming so I am guessing something is overheating..

The FAQ has links to peejay's PCV solution. Very simple.

The banana man likes nipples. I bet a psychiatrist would have fun with that.

Well its probably dieing caue of a vacuum leak. Gotta track it down. Re-check all your block offs.

The ap is to the right of where your arrow is pointing. Dry the area and track it down. You blocked the dizzy advance hose?

Right, that hose should go to a tee, then onto both dizzy vacuum pots.
