ND Dizzy Vacuum Advance Line Routing Question..

Yesterday I was going through and replacing all the vacuum caps on my carb spacer and nikki. As per RX7Carl's rats nest removal tutorial, my vacuum line from the advance on the dizzy has always been connected to the 2nd nipple from the left on the carb spacer. However, there is no vacuum on that nipple while the car is running at idle. I swapped it over to furthest nipple on the left, and it raised my idle about 200 rpms and ran smooth. Should the vacuum advance be hooked up to the one furthest left, and I have had it wrong for the last few years?

Pictures of the line in question are on page 27 of the tutorial, which can be seen in the link below.

Thanks in 'advance',

Justin.
