dismantling air pump

I was replacing the belts on my 83 GSL today when the bolt at the pivot of the air pump snapped. I took the air pump completely out so I can drill out the bolt tomorrow but my question is this. The pump is pretty nasty looking and seeing as how I am eventually going to clean up and paint the engine bay, I was going to clean up the pump as it's already out. I tried to do a search for how to dismantle the pump but came up with nothing. Is it very complicated to take apart or is it something simple I can just open up and clean and put back together?

does your car need to pass emissions testing? if not, you don't need the air pump.

just hit it with some simple green or carb cleaner. i really dont think you'd need to take the thing apart. if you dont need to pass emissions where you live, i'd just take it and the rats nest off of the car.

They don't require testing in the county I live in. I will eventually remove the rats nest and air pump but not until I have the money for an RB exhaust. I've heard it can cause bad fires if you don't have an air pump but still have a cat.
