Direct Fire Kits are HERE
Question. What about the people who think direct fire isn't necessary because they've gone from stock to an MSD through the cap and think it's all they'll ever need?
I have to admit that I've been wondering about this myself for the last half hour or so.

other then that I would keep plenty of bread around for dizzy caps and rotors, and I aint talkin about wonder.
My thoughts exactly.
Hey, I've got another question for you. Do you know anyone who ever had an MSD blaster coil die in the stock location due to being mounted horizontally? I remember reading on either this forum or elsewhere that they must be mounted vertically. Ring a bell?

Jeff20B;
You read right about the Blaster coils having to be Mounted Verically!
Before I bought my Blaster Coils I called MSD and they told me that they would work for a short while mounted in the stock position i.e. Horizontally and would void the warranty. Sooo
I bought the (MSD High Vibration Coils) as they suggested because they can be mounted in any position.
They have epoxy coated windings instead of Oil Filled.
They where $3.00 more each than the Blaster 2's.
I'm sure that I'll get some flack on this from other members on our board. -To Each Is Own-
I just figure for 3 bucks more it was worth it.
The plus side, it's another step toward upgrading my Ignition System in the Future.

Oh good, I did remember it correctly.
If you do get flack from other forum users, rest assured that you have correct info straight from MSD, and they have hearsay (or however you spell it). Right on.

Car wouldnt even start because of them.
As far as I know. I'd personally not bother with trailing. The only improvement it needs is to move the trailing wires over to the leading part of the cap to take advantage of the carbon button when converting to leading direct fire.

The problem with the CAS is a lack of mechanical advance. Otherwise, RX-Midget has already experiemented with one. I have one but don't feel the need to experiement on it at this time. Maybe later. Besides, with direct fire leading, trailing is basically redundant. You could run your engine just fine without a dizzy cap; I've done it before.
