Or remove the axles? I have the drums in back and I took the cover off, and took the nuts off those four bolts, but nothing? Removable carrier, you remove the axles and you should be able to pull the whole assembly out.

You remove the driveshaft, drain the diff fluid, remove the axles. Then you unbolt all of the bolts holding the carrier to the differential housing...

Remove rear wheels, remove brake drums, remove the brake shoes, removing backing plate retaining bolts, disconnect parking brake cable, also remove the rear brake lines from the wheel cylinders, you may have to use a slide hammer to get the axle to come out.

Here is a picture of a carrier still in the differential housing:

CSI, Download a copy of the FSM per member trochoid profile. You can print out pages for reference while you are doing the work.

For reference you don't need an axle puller to get the axles out. After you undo everything including the 3 bolts that secure the retaining flange to the diff housing.
Turn a drum over so that the part where the shoes go is facing you. Line the holes up with the axle and take 2 lug nuts and screw them thru the drum onto the axle with about 3 or 4 threads. Then just give her a couple of good yanks and the axle should come out.

Lol. Your right. I also believe that I should start a sticky about, "How to write a good thread title".

Link to the online FSMs is listed in my sig. Read through section 9 before going any further. Why are you pulling the diff, knowing that may help us help you.

I'm Pulling because I need something to weld togther on the TIG Machine and Figured I would make something somewhat productive. Pulling The Pumpkin out in order to be able to weld all the Spider Gears together, Don't know when I'll put it in though, More for class than anything But I do need the pumpkin. Maybe when or if I can find another KIA Sportage and get the taller ring maybe then I'll drop it in. Well going back to the junkyard tomorrow, Class on the 25th I'll try and post some pictures... Thanks
