difference between 1st gen rear ends as in above the bumper

i thought that 1979 to 1982 rear ends were the ugly nasty style and the 83 to 84 were the better style but i saw an 81 with a good style rear end

79-80, your so called ugly. I would call it lacking. 81-85 pretty close to the same. I could swap my 81 rear with my 85 -SE and no one would notice.

Here is an 82 beside a 79

I like the Style on the 79 better, MUCH better.

All AUS cars were SA's from what I have read.
