DIFF swap

ok, i got the jist of how to swap out my engine for a turbo whther it be the t11 or cosmo 13b-re and i also know that it would be best to go with the turbo 2 trans. but now what should i do with me rear diff. i have an 84-SE but it sounds like its starting to go bad or something.( makes weird sounds sometimes ) anyway if i do the engine swap i would want to change the diff even if it didnt make noises. but how, out of what car, and what about the drive shaft. i've heard about shortening it or modifying it but i wouldnt know where to start with that.

Everyone with tons of power on here uses an 8.8 Ford rearend. It is a really strong rearend. Check out http://grannysspeedshop.com/. That would be your best bet.
