diff oil seal replacement

diff oil seal replacement

Anyone here have experience replacing the pinion bearing oil seal of the diff?? (the seal around the bearing where the driveshaft meets the diff)
mine is leaking slowly. just after some tips.

your going to have to take the flange off to get access to that, other than that it's not a big deal.

Large diameter piece of pipe, or a big *** socket and a hammer usually do the trick on installing it. make sure it's right where the seal makes the 90 degree turn. If not, you'll just bend the outside of the seal.
