NJ Did Anyone See My Nuts???

ok i have started my turbo FB swap and ran into a bit of a snag .

i have a 85 Gsl with Gsl-se suspension, it is completely gutted and on its way to the paint shop .
I have almost every thing to complete the swap exept the motor tranny and ecu ... .
My plan is to use a jdm 91 turbo 2 (motor, trans, ecu, wire harness)
I was TOLD not ASKED by my wife that it has to be automatic so she can drive it !
now i can get a automatic jdm motor and tranny swap but i will need the auto shifter and linkage and surround , First gen ???
I have been looking through the threads and cant seem to find any on a manual to turbo 2 automatic swap. any ideas???

oh and while your looking and ideas on where my nuts went?
it was so much simpler when i was single!

One of my top women requirements was fanatical devotion to Manual transmissions. My wife and I are very happy with our manuals.

Not to add to the pile-on, but I just relayed this thread to my wife and she said,

"Oh yeah, tell him I think I saw someone run over them on Route 80 the other day."

If it has to be auto, get an adapter for a th350/400. Full manual valve body and everything.

Now, now....the title of your thread set the tone, so why expect anything different, right?

Now quit wasting your time here and start a WTB ad.

I'm guessing you'll find them right where you left them... in your wife's handbag.

...Says the man with an 03 Z with an auto trans, for the same reasons... "You can buy it, & get the nav and the Bose, but it's got to have an auto so I can drive it."

At least she wrapped them in tissue before she put them in there. 8^S

It should be easy to find them as you are probably holding the purse as she shops for shoes

I would vote for the Cosmo if you have to go auto as how are you going to control the shifter with a manual ECU? While you are there, just go full 20b and call it a day!

Puts me in mind of a limerick...

A clever young lawyer from Boston
Liked to cruise around town in an Austin
There was room for his ***
And a gallon of gas
But his ballocks hung out, so he lost 'em.

My suggestion, do the turbo swap with a manual and buy the wife a nice automatic 1st or 2nd gen. The autos tend to be much cheaper to buy.
