DFIS question

This might be a stupid question, but I can't find the answer. I have an MSD box and want to do the dfis upgrade on the leading ignition. I want to do it with a second gen coil, but want to know if I can use a T2 coil or not, since I have one. Or do I absolutely need an N/A 2nd gen coil?

Thanks for the help,
sa7

Should be fine as long as it is the leading coil.
