DFIS ???? need pics

Ok im not to good with words and understanding what it is exactly. And the pics in the archive dont work. I want to do the Direct fire thing with coils from an FC. But i really need pics

lie i said i read the post and it was talking about cutting wires on the coil and heck if i know if i was gonna cut the right ones so i just want ed to make sure. ANd BTW I like in depth How tos but they gotta be a little bit easier to read and figure out.

Do you already have the FC coilpack? Have you removed the ignitor in it yet? If you haven't started yet, then you might want to go with the "transistor trick" version, which involves less modification the does the original version. This also (in my car) improves performance and gas mileage. Check it out...

i read up on it to i have an old fc and this is my only coild so please let me see some pics that way i dont mess up. Kentetsu if this is true about better performance can you explain how to do this in a way a 2 r old would understand. Like I said im not to good with words.

ok this is the coil im using its the right one right I hope


And here Is what I have done so far then I got confused about which Wires go together. the one from the ballist resistor I connect together. Is this right. Also the black wires the one with the connector and the one without do those go together. And what about the red wire. I am so confused.

The pics work for me. The brown wire looks correct. It comes in the top, goes to the ballast resistor, and from the ballast resistor to the coil +. The other end of the brown wire (the part that comes out the top and goes to the white connector that was on there) connects to a switched 12v source. You can connect to the 1st gen coil + for this is you want. The red wire you don't need. That was for the 2nd gen ignitor trigger. The black wire goes from the coil (-) and will connect to the 1st gen ignitor (yellow w/ blue stripe, I believe).
