I have a set of NOS set of 79-80 Mazda rear springs and I'm trying to determine which end of the rear springs is the top. There's definitely a difference and I neglected to take note of this when I removed the original springs. One of the coils towards the end of the spring has some beige colored paint on it. Anyone know what side that would indicate?

 

Flat end goes to the top.
