I just used a crowbar to remove the components. then again I didnt have a motor in the bay to get in the way either. its pretty easy to do if you got a 10mm deep socket to just remove it yourself.

Try and keep the heat if you can. One problem I have is no defrost on the windshield and this will be a major problem when you drive on a humid cool day

just start at one end and disconnect the pieces as you go.

Hahahahaha!

After all my parts got stolen I been trying to figure out a havoc system for the car. Aftermarket setups start at around $1200 and the one I like is $2500 without the interface, the digital climate control unit that fits it is $800. It works like a modern car and bolts up to my LS1

There ar plenty of threads I'm sure as I jst removed mine not to long ago. Do a search for ac removal and u will def find something.
Basically tho the ac should be drained professionally ( luckily mine was empty anyways) the follow the ac line to firewall and cut off there and cap if u don't plan on removing the items under the dash to.
Then follow the other firewall line to the ac thing in the front of the car and remove that an cap at the firewall
then start disconnecting the ac components and u should be set.
