Deal or No Deal??

I emailed a guy and offered him $600 for this SE, it's local which is nice..

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/1943068603.html

I could have it as a sick *** car once I get it going. My first SE was a TOTAL dud, my GS was a lot faster, which isn't supposed to be the case...

Yeah except for the huge dent in the header panel....
The guy has not contacted me yet. Hoping I get the car though because it's decent looking and i want a 0-60 in the low 7's!! No pun intended....

I haven't taken a look yet but might go for it.

I wish this ************ would call back already. I've emailed twice and gave him my cell and no response. Yeah hoping it works, I'd be happy with it...

Thanks man, it's looking like I didn't get it judging by the guy's non-response. Or he doesn't like the fact I undercut him by $300. The way I see it he has my offer but I'm not going higher because the wiring was prolly hacked into by some bonehead. Hopefully I get it but it's his call now, not mine.

I may have gotten it. It was a chick and I talked her to $450 to get it. It'll prolly sit for a little while but will be a decent car once I get it going. Wiring may be a pain but at least it isn't costly

Thanks even nicer its in Aptos which is only 25 miles from me so I can dolly it back on the truck. I'm still going to take a look at it before I buy in case it has **** tires, expired reg, bad cat, not title, salvage title, etc. I figure to have it for a lil' while and then re-sell it or keep it. Not going to jump to conclusions here.

For $450, I'd take it if it had any one of those things you wouldn't buy it for!

Tires are cheap, new exhaust is pretty fair, no title just means good parts (been there, still using parts off of it), salvage means nothing to rx7 enthusiasts!

Just sayin', good find!

Yeah, I'm gonna get it. I just need the lady to call back again, these people are bad with calling back and getting back to you. I figure I'll prolly just keep it for a while. Hopefully the wiring harness is easy enough. I also know it will probably have more problems than just a wiring harness.

hopefully they put the FC engine in and realized that the FC harness didn't plug into the gsl-se car, and stopped!

I didn't get it, car was absolutely FUCKED. The guy trashed the interior, it had 295K miles on it so most every part is worn out. The FC engine is the only thing worth anything. The people were completely clueless with the questions that I had, tires were ****, wiring was absolutely hacked, it wasn't on PNO and was last registered in 2000, so the DMV fees were piled up for 10 years. Absolute shame what the guy did to this and how he had no idea what the hell to do. I wouldn't take it for free.

Believe me if you saw it you would be like **** this car is worn out, and not worth a ****. Also most clueless sellers I have ever dealt with.

should have offered him $200. Scrap in NY is $190 a ton.

Take the engine and any other goods, then crush it if you have to.

My problem is, it has 295K and if it was last reg. in 2000 and say engine was put in in '02 then that's 8 years of the engine sitting. I'll bet the seals are dried up, since it has not run since. Also I'd need to cut it up good to take it to the junkyard since theres no paperwork..

I can find a better one for the same price with non-trailer trash clueless people and more usable parts.
