Dead Spot

I have always had a deadspot in my stearing. I thought that was just what all FBs were like. I drove my cousins and his stearing was much tighter. Is there a reason that I have a dead spot. And is there a solution to it. What can I do to tighten up the stearing??

Theres a deadspot in all steering systems that have milage on them. WHy? Because thats the part of the steering box that gets used the most (in the middle cause thats where the wheel is most of the time). DO the steering gear restoration on the mazspeed facts page and see if it helps.

I'm still trying to decide if i want to do it myself or get someone else to do it. I'm gonna check how long it would take them so i can get an idea on what it would cost.
