Dang, almost had me a GSL-SE...

Found a GSL-SE for sale near me for $450... so I figured hey, definately worth checking out. Well, I get there, and this poor RX-7 has more rust on it than pretty much any car I've ever seen... entire sections of the car were missing. The engine was leaking oil, the suspension in back was nearly rusted off... I felt saddened Windshield was cracked, the battery was dead, and the car needed 4 new tires. If the rear suspension hadnt been rusted through, I would have bought it, sanded off all the rust, done a little bodywork, and given it a fresh coat of krylon, but I dont have a welder yet so i cant fix the holes in the body or the suspension rust. Poor poor RX-7.

If its still for sale after christmas, when i grab myself a welder, I may buy it and restore it to decent condition, but as-is... its in sad sad shape.

I was at one of our local junkyards recently.. and came across 2 SEs... a white one and a red one just like mine..only a tear in the seat. Both had straight bodies just like most of the ReXs I run across while at the junkyards.. it varies.. some no or barely any rust.. some total buckets...bashed to hell.. crappy interiors.. 1st gens keep coming and going as well as S4 FCs.
By what I can read on here alot ..our cars and parts are very scarce...Junkyards here would be like heaven to alot of you.. they sure have been salvation to all the FBs Ive owned

The interior wasnt bad, but I dont really care about the interior, I care about the frame integrity and the drivetrain. Besides, even if I got it for parts, selling all the little interior parts is a total bitch.
