Damn rattle

So the car has developed a new rattle. Not that it had a lot to begin with.

When ever I deselerate a metalic sound comes from the right underside of the car. It may be coming from the exaust, but I cant tell where. It is also more pronounced when the car is cold.

You guys think somthing dislodged in my exaust and is shaking around in there? I still have the cat in, but it was replaced a year and a half ago, so it shouldnt be coming apart just yet. Any ideas?

Does it happen when you downshift and decel? If so, I have experienced this a couple times.

when I down shift AND decel, with the clutch in or out. Some times it gets REALLY loud. And I've noticed loud back fires when shutting off the car.

If I have time today, I'll pull the cat to take a look/

Yea i would prolly say it's the heat shield, but if it's not that check your lug nuts, I had a vibration when the clutch was in or decelerating, and my rear lugs were loose!
