DAMN OEM audiovox security (removing)

Well i want to remove that damn audiovox security thing on the driver side. It's wired to i believe the battery, and i removed one wire and then teh car wouldnt start. Its got a bunch of wires coming off of it, and was wondering if anyone has removed this?

There's nothing like that on my car at all, I don't think it's OEM.

A pic *would* help.

I just bought a '79 and it came with an Audiovox alarm system too. I just pulled the module and re-connected the stock wires together. I still have some wires that I'm not sure what to do with, but the car starts and runs, so I guess I have time to figure it out.
