this was a last minute engine swap but all in all cool! the best picture, in which joe swore that we were gonna get kicked off for, was the one where we had the engine hanging from its flywheel with a cement block hanging off the bottem any way enjoy these two

you won't believe how sore I am today...I don't think I was this bad after my tranny swap OR my engine swap
Oh well, I had fun. Glad we got it in before it got too late, or started raining again.

Rx-7 girl told me that all she needed was someone to show her how to do it, and she wanted to do 3/4 of the work?

It gave up after I got ahold of it.
Ask Joe, Rachel, or I about the misuse of a cherry picker to remove a stubborn flywheel. hehe
ok mike, yeah i told them i wanted to help and do something.......they told me to stand back and laugh....or they would tell me "you didnt need that" "dont worry about it" or inconspicuosly throw it over their shoulder mumbling it wasnt important i tried to help......i think the cheerleader outfit i was wearing helped
oh hehe.......that cherry picker has never seen such abuse

heh, I think we got rid of about 2/3 of the crap in the engine bay....but really, it (probably) wasn't important
And if all she wanted me to do was show her how to do it, then why am I still finding driveway debris in my hair, or cleaning rotary off my hands?
But all in all, I think you did learn some things....

all in all.....i did learn alot....im cofident if i had to pull the engine out again i could do it myself..well with someone to guide it back into the tranny....unless we listen to joe and change it to a manual*not gonna happen*
but i defintally learned more about my car in one day than i learned in the year owning it

like I said, I have a spare tranny, clutch pedal, brake pedal, master and slave cylinders. So what if the tranny only has 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears.....it'll still probably be faster than the auto....

we didnt get home till 4....we were both falling asleep on the way home, so we took a nap on the side of the highway
Even then, James was still weaving, so I had to drive all the way home.
I just realized that 3 weeks away is the weekend after July 4th. I MIGHT be pit crewing for my buddy and his ITS prepped 2nd gen. I'll let you know. I really wanna be there to see it run though
