I just found out what the manual shows, and appearently my charcoal canister lines are hooked up to the coasting vavle, and the idle compensator hose that is supposed to run into the air cleaner, was in the place where the subzero start assist should be.... So now that everything can be hooked up right again, I wonder if it would work..... I HOPE SO.......

THANX AGAIN LATERZ, Andrew

Andrew, try installing a fuel pump cut-off switch so you can control when your fuel pump is on and off. I don't know if it will help, but the theory sounds right.
Evan, what do you mean by locking the timing out? Just set the timing, then disconnect the vaccum advance?

I have a switch, I just installed it about a week ago.....It doesnt work, because of the fuel in the carb still gives it gas........ And I think it is starving, or flooding...........I got the hoses hooked up RIGHT, what a PITA, but the all are correct..... It still stalls.... I have fuel pressure, and fuel is getting to it.....

I have just noticed, when it was running "good" and not stalling, was when I was almost outa gas.....I put 5 gallons in, and booom the problem comes BACK.......So do I need a fuel pressure regulator??? Thats all I can guess....When I disconnected the fuel return line yesterday, about a spoon full, of gas came out, so I know that is working....I think.....

THANX LATERZ, Andrew

oooo, oooo, pick me, pick me......
Here is my suggestion/s
1.)give it away
2.)sell it, and buy a different car
3.)catch it on fire, and see how long it goes until it blows up...
4.)Buy a mindtrain header, and a rotary engineering intake, with dual 36 MM DCD carbs.....
5.)Get smart, and fix it...

I personally would want to do # 4, but lack of funds...Then it leaves me with #5, but I cant even how hard I try...... So #2???? Nah, LOVE this car TOOO DAMN MUCH......Um...I guess, get someone who knows what they are doin, to fix it......

Flooding eh? Make sure you have the float bowl vent solenoid hooked up or at least have it venting to atmosphere.

"when i disconnected the fuel line about a spoonful of gas came out", was the car running at this time? should be pumping a strong stream of gas, not a spoonfull, sounds like fuel starvation, have you replaced the accelerator pump diaphram, about 20 bucks, it comes with the carb rebuild kit, mine was dry rotted ,car would run for a little and stall out, till i rebuilt the top of carb and replaced the diaphram.

ok.....I was talking about the fuel return line......I dont see why this carb isnt working.....It sat for about 2 weeks after the engine blew.....Then I went, and bought a car, that sat for 9 years......Put that carb, ignition system, fuel pump, and the lines and tank were already cleaned, on it......It ran..... Then it would stall....I want to make sure that, the carb, is the problem, and not I am not in need of a fuel regulator.........When it stalls, I can pump the gas about 10 times, and crank t, and it would run, a little while longer(about 15 seconds), then just die again.............I have no clue, I am about to justr sell the damn thing, and buy one that works.......Oh well......
