Well after seeing your idea i took it a step further. I went to our local glass shop and had hem cut me an appropriate sized piece of 3/8 inch thick plexi glass. I them had the local vinyl decal shop print me off the "proper print" for the original rx-7 emblems. Then i took the vinyl sticker and placed it in the center of the glass proceded to have the cover sprayed with reflective silver paint and them peeled off the stickers. I didn't want light to shine in mine so i painted the rx-7 logo black. It looks great. then I drilled and tapped small oppropriate sized screws in the appropriate place. The whole deal cost me $20. My car is going to be silver and my tails are clear with reflective finish on the black and silver part. It looks great with it! would load pics but can't figure out how.. i'm a moron...

What Andrew has is the solution for the Aussie...it is for the SA style rear though it's hard to tell here because the black light pods have been removed...rare as hen's teeth now and worth a small fortune unless new stuff is mass- produced....easily $100, IMHO...
