custom painted First gens

I'm looking for pics of any custom painted first gens. ghost paint pearls anything. I'm trying to make sure that no one has tried what I'm about to try doing to my car. maybe after i get it done it might just take off. but I would appreciate any pics of custom painted first gens it would be kind of cool if this makes sticky status.

well the shark and that they used on the old fighter planes. kind of ghosted in. its going to have gills and eyes and the mouth. me and my painter were looking at the front of the car and desided that it looked kind of like a shark under the front end. so thats what we are going to do

Here's my paint.

It a purple base coat with a Cobalt Blue over the top...Looks really good in the sunlight, unfortunately both these pics are not really on the best angle to show the colour well...

was:12a that car is awesome i thought about doing something like that but there is a corolla gts here in clarksville. so i had to come up with something else. Hey where did you find the rims and how much did you get them for im trying to find a nice set for mine the limited rims look really good on my car due to the color im going to do auto x with those rims because the are "stock" rims they are wider so but i need street rims that look good just to cruise around with that i can put nice wide soft tread the limited wheels will have a dot track tire with a 205/50 on them

Bugman:

the rims are 17 inch "Gold OM" rims by "Simmons". I don't think you guys get "Simmons" rims in the US...

Warwickben:

you don't lose much if any of your rear vision with the hatch. From my seating position if you look out the rear window its the same dimensions as the rear view vision mirror, ie what you see in the mirror is not obstructed by any part of the hatch. And because of the slots in the side of the hatch you can still see out of the rear side windows as well so you only loose a little of your vision there. All in all it doesn't effect my driving at all...

I heard a rumor that they don't make them new anymore, but it could be a rumor...

The lads at Mariah Motorsports are the people to call anyways...

heres mine.... as with any custom paint, you have to see it in person to see the color and depth.

Original paint with black stripe from front to back on the bottom. When I repaint, I will be using this same scheme with nicer paint
