Custom mixed touch up paint Sunrise red
After getting frustrated calling and searching online for some touch up paint for my rig with the hard to find RH Sunrise Red paint code, went to a local paint shop and not only were they able to make a batch of touch up paint for me, but they CUSTOM mixed it to my specific car. As everyone knows, the Sunrise Red fades a bit over time and they were able to match it up perfect. Better yet, a custom 2 oz. batch with application brush was only 10 bucks. I couldn't believe it. What a deal. Now waiting for a bit nicer day to get it done. Moral to the story...don't give up on getting something done. I plan on using them for my other cars too. IF you happen to be in the PDX/Vancouver area and are looking for whatever color for paint let me know and will provide the name and location so you can get in on the goodness.

Most of the Paint Chip/DIY paint companies (on-line) seem to offer RH (or whatever...) no problem Johnny. I was able to order a rattle can of RH for about $17 IIRC. That said I agree, to get a body shop to sample (via $$ tool) your particular RH (nicely aged) is a real asset to a blended touch up. Esp for a $awbuck!

I thought it was a great deal for 2 ounces of custom designed paint. I am picky and the color match is a huge plus for me. I may get a rattle can from them also to repaint the front spoiler.

I did something similar with a local company here in MN as well. Awesome place to work with, they also got me some touch up paint for the Winning Blue RX-8. I was told that there's a ton of pearl in that color for the RX-8 and it would be extremely expensive to respray with that. Sucks, because I'm thinking about running that color on my RX-7 potentially...

That winning Blue is a nice color. I just love the fact that you can get something like this done so cheap. Those small bottles of paint you get at a auto parts store are the same price or more, much less for the $$$ AND they are based on a brand new paint color, not something that has faded and changed over the years.
