My 1985 GSL-SE has as 2.5 din stereo. I'm not going by anything other than the actual stereo's I have in front of me RIGHT NOW.
I bought a Sony CDX-1000RF CD only unit to replace my stock tape deck on my 3 piece stereo. The single-din CD unit is the SAME SIZE as my stock tape deck, that is aprox 2 x 7 inches. The tuner and EQ are both aprox 1.5 x 7 inches. Total is 5 x 7 inches, or 2.5 standard ISO DIN.
Anyone wanna disagree?

Just a thought..
