Custom interior work in-progress

I have decided to let a local upholsery shop here customize my 80 RHD SA. It will look like the pic with a camel tan.. I am undecided on the exterior color and have two choices.. Pearl White or 350 Z blue.. I am leaning towrd the pearl white because of the tan interior.. What do you think? They are doing the whole interior for 800.00. I think that fair.. Any more ideas?

That's a great price. I inquired about getting just the two seats recovered. TII seats like the ones shown in the tan interior pictures and they wanted $900 just to do the seats.

If you get it done please post pictures and information on who did the work.

I'm not much for non-stock interiors, but damn, that's nice. And for $800? Who's your man? And yes, the right hand drive definately adds a touch of class. With that color interior, you can go with just about anything outside, but with the body kit you've got, the pearl white would be real classy, a color equal to the interior. Send the finished photos!

The guy that owns the shop is kinda a friend. He will do the whole interior the color i want.. I have to remove and install all the pieces including the dash.. But to save cash i can do that.. He has a shop in Las Vegas. I think i'm going with the pearl white... Will keep you guys updated.. I'm giving him all the stuff around July 1st. It will take 2 weeks to complete everything.. Then off with the exterior painting

800 DOLLARS??????????????????? My god, I couldnt get seats wraped for that much. Seriously I would consider towing my ride to vegas to get that done. Here I would pay no less than 3 to 4 grand for that much work. Every inch of that interior is redone. Awesome deal!

Sweet! I would go with pearl white! I was supposed to have my car re-done but the day before I was supposed to leave to Mexico to take it to my friends shop my car broke down However I order my part from an Rx7 club member and it should be in next week. I am getting it repainted with black and blue pearl and all black interior.

I cant wait to see what your finished product looks like

White is a much easier color to care for. Looks clean longer, hides blemishes or bodywork better, and just plain looks classy.....

Where did that airdam come from, btw? I need one like it so I have a spot for my spots..

How is it going to be done? Is the dash etc. just being covered with tan material?

White exterior with that tan interior would look really choice.

Upon looking at the picture closer, I noticed stuff like the door handle cups and whatnot is tan, which couldn't be covered with material, so is that type of stuff just painted that colour?

I'm really interested in how it's done because I want to turn my interior into something like that, except with a light gray colour, such as the colour in the attatched picture.

Tan was a stock interior color. Therefore parts would not need to be painted or covered, just replace with tan-colored ones.

Oooh really. I didn't know that. I thought they only came in Burgandy, Brown, and black/grey. Is the tan rare or something? Because I've never seen it before this post.

Tan was a less common interior color, and not offered for S3. There were two different brown colors: S2 brown, which can appear greenish and has lighter carpet and seatbelts, and S3 aka "poop brown" which is darker and has dark brown carpet and seatbelts. Black and grey are two different colors. Black is S1,2 only and grey is S3 only. (re LHD No.Am. models)

I decided on a pearl white exterior.. I think it's a better color being in Las Vegas.. 100 deg + weather.. with the tan interior it will be real sweet.. I will have it done in time for 7stock.. Next will be a TII or cosmo swap..
