custom instrument panel

has anyone completely torn out their instrument panel (tach, speedo, etc.) and made a new unit using all aftermarket guages? i think this would look amazing on a first gen. since the factory panel is somewhat ugly IMO.

IMO somewhat ugly. the white background is pretty cool...but im thinking about swapping the whole thing for a custom setup surounded by cf, or maybe that shiny metal they use for non-slip stairs or whatever...know what i mean?

I have not changed my gauges but have thought about it many times with many layout options. ssglopezvm, how did you change the color of the gauges?
