A fluid change may help some, but the LSD are known for being a bit on the noisy side. Never had one apart, but there are some special procedures that must be followed to ensure correct gear mesh.

Did you get the bolt on your brakes loose?

When you change the fluid in the rear, after it's drained look at
the old fluid,on the bottom look for metel fillings.the more fillings,
the more worn it is.also with the rear wheels off,on each side
move axel, back and forth to feel of any play, the less play the
better,I changed out my rear end for a disk brake/LSD rear, and
used valoline LSD 90 wht fluid,It makes noise, more at 65mph.
but it doesn't howl,,,if the rear howl's,,somethings wrong,,
i'd say it's ok,if it changes then you should look into it though..
On that stuborn bolt you might try an impact tool if you have it ??
